The wedding day is a very special day for the bride. Everything that is done on this date should be done with style, panache, and with as much planning as possible. There are so many different things that have to be taken into account when a wedding is being planned such as the dress, the church, the venue for the reception, the food and drink, the rings, etc. Sometimes, unfortunately, smaller things like the wedding centerpieces tend to be either left until the last minute, not given enough attention, or maybe even forgotten about altogether.
If you are planning your own wedding, it is worthwhile to put some effort and time into planning your wedding centerpieces. There are a few things that you should take into account when you are trying to decide which ones to choose. Always remember that the centerpieces should be chosen with your wedding in mind. Every wedding is going to be planned around a certain color scheme and/or other theme. The wedding centerpieces should match in with both of these things. You cannot just choose one on its own without considering how it is going to fit in.
Although the wedding centerpieces are never going to be the centre of attention, they will play a large part in the overall feel of the wedding reception. They should be placed on everyone’s table. They should also be placed on the head table, the guestbook table, the cake table, and smaller versions should be placed in critical areas around the reception room.
It is very important that you keep your centerpieces down to a manageable size. The last thing that you want is for them to overshadow the guest table so that they are encroaching on not only the guests personal space, but some oversized wedding centerpieces can actually encroach onto the space reserved for the place settings and can also hinder conversation. Also remember that they do not have to be exactly the same size as each other; you can have different sizes for different purposes.
With the advent of more adventurous weddings, you should be able to find many more adventurous wedding centerpieces. For instance, a lot of people are deciding now to not only get married on the beach, but have their wedding reception on the beach. If this is the case for you then try and arrange for your centerpieces to tie in with your location.
