Having a list will always makes you feel confident that you won’t miss anything important. So make yourself a list of the accessories you will use for your wedding. A checklist is always a good idea in keeping yourself organized.
There are several things to prepare when planning a wedding, and if you are not organized, then your wedding can be a nightmare. Here is a list of some accessories that you need to prepare for your wedding day.
Though the church can prepare for your wedding, there are some accessories that you need to contribute and these include the unity candle. This may not be an important part of your wedding; you can have one or not depending on the style and solemnity of the ceremony.
Today’s rice, also known as confetti, is thrown on the couples after the wedding ceremony. Using rice is the traditional confetti; however, some couples have become creative and use other materials such as bird seed, flower petals and bubbles. Church decorations are also included on your list of the accessories you need in the church. Church decorations include flowers and candles.
For the bridal parties, there are also some items to prepare for. Gifts, for example, should be prepared to be given to your bridesmaids, maid of honor, groomsmen, bestman, ring bearer and flower girls. They are given a gift as acknowledgement for participating in the wedding. Flower baskets with petals of flowers in them are also prepared. Flower baskets will be used by the flower girls to sprinkle flowers on the isle where you walk. A small pillow for the ring bearer is also needed. The main duty of the ring bearer is to carry the pillow with the wedding ring on it. The itinerary for the party is also important because it will keep your party on track.
For the guests, you need to provide simple favors to give them as a gratitude gift and to also remind them of your wedding day. You also need to prepare programs for the wedding to assist your guests in the flow of the ceremony.
For the reception, you need to include on your list the centerpieces that will be placed on the tables. There are several varieties of table centerpieces. Choose one that will be perfect for your wedding theme and one that will make your table look beautiful. A centerpiece with a candle will help in highlighting the table.
Champagne glasses are also needed for the toast that will be given for the newlyweds and are usually provided by the reception venue, unless you have special glasses you wish your guests to keep as a remembrance of your wedding.
A pen and guestbook should also be available. Here your guests will write down their names and it will help you in sending “thank you” notes after the wedding. The guest book will also show how many guests you had at your wedding. This is a responsibility that may be assigned to a bridesmaid or junior bridesmaid.
A cake server set for the cake slicing ceremony is also on the list. Choose a cake server set that looks good and it will be a good keepsake after your wedding. It can also be used when you entertain guests as a married couple.
Cake toppers are placed on the top of the cake to represent you as a couple. Choose a cake topper that can be displayed in your house, if you choose, after the wedding. In addition, if you plan to make your own wedding cake, there are a number of decorating supplies you will need in addition to the normal cake ingredients.
If you did not hire a photographer you can prepare a one-use camera to capture moments of your wedding.
An envelope holder is also suggested for collecting wedding envelopes in an organized manner. You can choose the design you want. Match it with the theme of your wedding.
If you prepare the checklist early, you have all the plenty of time to look for cheap wedding accessories. You won’t have the rush and pressure when deciding what to buy.
